Charter Membership
Almost all wineries have a “wine club” which is one way to guarantee that you will buy a specified amount of wine each year from that particular winery. Bella Cavalli however does not have a wine club!
However, Bella Cavalli does have a list of Charter Members that are allowed, but not contractually bound, to make wine purchases before the vintages are released to the general public. These Charter Memberships will be numbered from # 1 on and in the order in which their membership papers are received (see below). Each membership will be allowed to purchase one case of each vintage sold per year and this right to purchase will be passed down the Charter List until all orders are filled or that particular vintage is sold out. A Release of Vintage Dates will be mailed to all Charter Members along with a Final Confirmation Date before which orders must be placed and at which time orders will be allocated based upon the members numeric position on the Charter List.
If you don’t want to buy any particular vintage, simply don’t respond to the Release and Confirmation notices. If you want to buy more than the one case, you can state this on your order and if what you want is available after everyone on the Charter List has placed their orders (up to one case each), you can then purchase this surplus if it exists and before its release to general public orders. Priority numbers will be assigned to the Charter Membership List based strictly upon the date on which they are received. Please also be aware that Charter Members will receive a 20% discount on all orders, will be invited to the Farm for special holiday events and will have use of the farm and the tasting room facilities for private parties, picnics, meetings, etc.
You should note that Charter Memberships will become inactive and expire if no wine purchases are made for any period of twelve months however they will continue in perpetuity when maintained in an active state. As a Charter Membership is retired, for whatever reason, those membership priority numbers junior will be advanced appropriately and their owners advised. A maximum number of active charter memberships will eventually be set and established at a later date and all charter members so informed.
